Fishlips...

Thursdays is Spanish day at preschool and every week, Senor Carlos gives me a stamp after our lesson. This week, we sang a ladybug song and Itsy Bitsy Spider in espanol. Mommy asked Daddy if the ladybug song was senora bugo and Daddy said "I think it would be senora buga"....ha ha ha....a little spanish humor. Six years of spanish between the two of them.......wasted. Check out my ladybug stamp....ladybug is mariquita (so says our spanish dictionary).

Nana....I promised to send you some of my artwork from school. Daddy got some stamps yesterday so I made you a couple more things this morning and I will put them in the mailbox today.

Here's one of the pieces I made this morning...Daddy asked if we were sending that to Nana or to the fine folks at Chiquita. (If you haven't heard, I go bonker for bananas.)

I got to sleep in summer jams last night...green ones with piggies on them. I can show you my belly button real quick!

Happy Easter

THE EASTER BUNNY CAME!! He actually came twice thanks to Auntie Jill, Uncle Josh & Cuz Colton and their Easter treats - a sweet bunny, Peeps, Panda treats and a Charlie Brown Easter book that we read after we dug through our Easter basket this morning. Thanks, JJC!!! You guys are always surprising me with great stuff.

Happy Easter Eve

Our neighborhood had an egg hunt today and we went with our friend and neighbor Andrew to our first egg hunt. As you can see, I was successful in finding some eggs. Each of them had chocolate candy in them, but to my surprise, Mommy & Daddy didn't let me have any of it. Oh well, I had more fun playing with the eggs anyway. I also got to play on the playground with Andrew and we had a great time.

I can also climb up on to my chair. Yesterday, Daddy caught me sitting there with Bow Baa. TOO CUTE!

You don't believe me? Well....here I am this morning...it's the purple socks...they have turbo boost in 'em.

Peace out for now....and yes, trying to go up the slide backwards was my idea. One that got vetoed pretty quick in this family, but not before Daddy got a picture. Hump Day

I was driving home from the office tonight on my way to pick up the Boo and started thinking about the blog. The posts have really slowed down now that we are in a routine. I want to continue the blog for at least a little while longer assuming we still have an audience.


Bella continues to amaze her teachers at school with her happy demeanor and wide vocabulary. One of her favorite books is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle. In the last week or two, she has started saying "Bow Baa" and gets her book. She knows her Brown Bear book and loves it. We both could recite it to you from memory, any time any place. Tonight's reading of Bow Baa....









My sweet adoring husband, aka Daddy, has been chomping at the bit to do some more remodeling projects around the house (any reason to buy new tools, right?). We recently installed a french door between our dining room and living room. We both love craftsman style details and we have been adding some of these details to our otherwise traditional style house. Today was his first attempt at craftsman molding around the door. Doesn't it look fabulous? The picture doesn't do it justice because you can't see the detail of it as well as you can in person. Long story short, since it is our blog and we can do what we want, you are about to become victim to long stories and numerous pictures of our upcoming remodeling projects that include more molding and a new kitchen! In an effort to keep you tuned in, we will even it it out with Bella updates....

Bella Bakes a Cake

Ye Ye is having a birthday this weekend and so we are making him a birthday cake.

First, we get the ingredients out....

Then we let the mixer stir them up....(yes, while standing on the counter...how else are we suppose to see?)

Once we put the cake in the oven, we get to lick the spatula!! (Note: four teeth chewing on a spatula does leave a "lasting impression"....Nana, Mommy may need a new spatula next Christmas)

And....the video that will probably result in a couple of grandparents at our door later tonight... :)

This past weekend, Bella helped Daddy and Ye Ye hang a french door in our dining room. Bella had to make sure it was level.

After all that hard work, we sat on Grandma's lap and showed her our number 8. We love 8.

13 Months Old

Our baby girl is officially 13 months old. She continues to learn more and more everyday. She started going to preschool this week by herself. In just three days, she has made a shamrock with paints, shook maracas with Senor Carlos during Spanish Thursdays and this morning surprised me when she pointed to my eyes and said eyes over and over. She hasn't figured out that she has eyes....just knows where Mama and Mama's eyes are. (That's right, Daddy is called Mama no matter how many times we say Dada). I asked her teachers if they taught the children about eyes and sure enough, they did. In addition to weekly spanish, they also have weekly music, regular yoga and sign language lessons along with art activities.

She is doing wonderful at school and seems to have a lot of fun with the other kids. She lights up when she sees her teachers and I have gotten to know them over the last few weeks and they are truly great people.

I got some video footage of some of the "old" stuff she has been doing....you'll hear a couple of her words - "banana" and "all done". She also signs "more" when she wants more food. She also waves and blows kisses....just some of her many talents.

First Quarter Results

Anything For A Buck Enterprises (AFAB) has completed its first quarter with its newest board member and company spokesmodel, Bella.


It has been a busy first quarter with three new teeth, crawling, walking, a handful of words, holidays, a birthday party and the start of some baby signs. The shareholders are pleased with the results and believe that the company's newest member will catapult AFAB to household name status.

AFAB's VP of Maintenence and Head of the Photography and Takeout divisions, says "This addition has been a long time coming and Miss Bella has breathed new life into all of AFAB's ventures."

"There has been a noticeable increase in table scraps since Bella joined our team. Her fine work has undoubtly increased my daily responsibilties. The change has been overdue and welcome" states the Chief Crumb Eater.

The Chief of Security feels "Bella has been a great asset to our organization. There have been no security issues to date and we expect the second quarter to fair more of the same."

"AFAB's best move since opening its doors in 2002 was the addition of a spokesmodel. The company has never been better and we are excited to see what the future brings. I have been pleased with her ability to wear just about anything and look fantastic. She represents the company perfectly" explains the company's CFO and VP of Fashion and Design.

The spokesmodel continues to grow with a weight increase of 16.67% over the quarter. Her height has changed by nearly 3%. The company initially thought that with her sizeable feet and starting height in the 90th percentile she may favor the VP of Maintenance. There is still time left in the fiscal year before any final conclusions can be made.

Second quarter projections include the addition of preschool activities, spring dresses and more outdoor play time. AFAB is considering adding an office for the new member. The Spokesmodel Office Design Research Committee (SODRC) is discussing a playhouse and butterfly garden on the property.

There are some preliminary discussions on the goals for third quarter. Consideration is being made for a trip to visit AFAB North.
