Ladybug Girl

Last night, Bella helped Daddy carve her first jack-o-lantern. She thought the guts of the pumpkin were "yucky" but she enjoyed watching Daddy carve the face.

the finished product

Mommy explaining the trick or treating "deal" to ladybug girl....
step 1 - try to ring door bell...settle for a light knock on the door
step 2 - say "tree o tree"
step 3 - hold treat bag out to receive candy
step 4 - say "fank you"
step 5 - toss "candy bowl" over your shoulder like a purse and march on to the next house

And...we're off to take the neighborhood by storm

I'm so excited, I am going to stop to jump!

We came home and I asked Ladybug Girl if she would like ONE piece of candy from her "candy bowl". She plopped down and patiently waited for Mommy to open a bag of Reeses Pieces
(em - o - ems).

A Day in the Life

We had a great family day today that started with a trip to the children's museum to meet up with our friend Olivia and her parents. The girls started in the grocery section - they love to shop.

The trip to the children's museum is not complete without splashing in the water.

I had to pull this photos from the archives. I guess milk does do a body good.

The girls had to stop and rehydrate!

After lunch with Olivia and a three hour nap...Bella was refreshed and ready to help Daddy with the door molding.

I didn't know the girl knew the words "ice cream". She does and the minute I mentioned it she screamed "ICE CREAM" and I asked her what kind of ice cream she likes and she said

"chalk-luck".

After dinner tonight we were looking at one of the two dozen Christmas catalogs we got in the mail today. She saw an Asian doll named Su-Li and pointed to her. I said "that is Su-Li, she's Asian like you". Bella pointed to herself and said "age-gin". Daddy overheard and said "what are you?" and she says "AGE-GIN".

Any Reason to Bake

I wanted to try a pumpkin bar recipe this weekend. Bella and I went and got the ingredients and came home to mix it together. Bella would bake everyday if we could. She loves everything from pouring the ingredients into the mixing bowl and stirring to working the mixer and finally taste testing the batter.

Bella is one of the youngest Possums in her new classroom. Their lessons are a lot more hands on then what you can do with 12-18 month olds and Bella is loving it. Last week, they had "cooking" lessons all week. They made pudding, rice crispy treats and strawberry kool-aid. Her teachers could not believe that Bella seemed to know how to "cook" already and she wasn't afraid to jump in and stir the ingredients together.
